January 5, 2009 Station 16 along with stations 14, 15, 85,8 and 11 was dispatched to 236 Wolfe's Lane for an automatic fire alarm. Asst. 11 advised all units it was burnt food and all units cleared the scene moments later.

January 14, 2009 Station 16 along with stations 14, 15, 85, 11, air12, truck57, 10, and 18 responded to 2240 6th street in Herminie for a porch fire. EMS arrived on scene and advised fire was out. Chief 15 approached scene and advised all units can cancel with exception of Engine 15.

January 19, 2009 Station 16 along with stations 14, 15, 85 and 11 responded to 292 Sutersville Road for a report of smell of gas outside of the structure.. Chief 16/Asst. 14 showed up on scene and found out that there was no gas smell and all units were cancelled

January 19, 2009 Station 16 along with station 15 responded to Lowber Road in the area of Dickstation Road for a vehicle accident involving 1 vehicle. Chief 15 arrived on scene and reported Engine 16 to do traffic control @ Slaughter Hollow Rd. while 15 crews handled the scene.

January 19, 2009 Station 16 along with stations 14, 15, 16, 85, air 12, truck 57, 18 and 11 responded to 502 Madison Ave. in Herminie for a reported basement fire. Chief 15 arrived on scene stated fire was out and cancelled all units except 15, 57, 14 and Engine 85 which went into Station 15 for standby which cleared moments later

January 22, 2009 Station 16 along with stations 14, 15, 85, 8, 10, 11, 12, and 57 responded to 501 Church St in Herminie for a reported Camper trailor on fire endangering another structure. Engine 15 arrived on scene and quickly extinguished the fire and cancelled all units except air 12,14 and 15.

January 23, 2009 Station 16 along with stations 14, 15, 85, 8, 10, 11, 12 and 57  responded to Herminie/West Newton Road for a Automatic Fire Alarm @ H.W. Good Elementary school. Asst.15-1 advised it was a false activation and cancelled all units.

January 26, 2009 Station 16 was activated in place of 107 with stations 82, 11, 103, 105, 31 for a automatic fire alarm @ Filbern Manor in West Newton. Command 11 reported it was a burnt pizza box and requested all units not on scene cancelled. all units on scene cleared bout a 1/2 and hour after.

January 28, 2009 Station 16 along with station 15 responded to Dick Station Road 1/2 mile before lowber road for a vehicle accident with injuries.Rescue 15 arrived on scene stating a vehicle slid onto oncoming traffic and hit a snow plow truck. Engine 15 then requested Engine 16 to standby @ Yough High School in the parking lot. All units cleared within 15-20 minutes.

February 1, 2009 Station 16 along with stations 11, 15, and 184 responded to 1st Street and 1st Ave. in Sutersville for a vehicle accident unknown injuries. Chief 11 approached scene and found that there was no injuries and both vehicles off the road. Chief 11 requested Station 16, and 15 to cancel while rescue 11 and service 184 remained on scene.


February 5, 2009 Station 16 along with stations 15 and 11 responded to 223 Lilly Street for a co alarm detector w/ 1 patient. Chief 16 approached scene and found patient outside residence and took her into ems custody while requesting rescue 15 to have 2 maskmen ready with co detector. Rescue 15/11 searched the house and no readings found. Dead battery in co detector set off the detector. All units returned in service shortly after.

February 5, 2009 Station 16 along with stations 14, 15, and 85 responded to Apple Mills Road in the area of Shoaf's Farm for a smell of natural gas outside the area. Command 85 approached scene requested all units hold position then moments later requested tanker 14 to scene while engine 16 remained to hold in position. All units cleared shortly after and gas company was notified.

February 11 and 12, 2009 Station 16 responded to 7 tree downs during a storm which winds went up to 95 miles an hour.
