We are the Lowber VFC Station 16 of Sewickley Township Westmoreland County. Lowber VFC is about an hour east of Pittsburgh, PA. Lowber VFC is also recognized as Station 185 in Allegheny County. We respond about 125 calls per year. We provide services for Lowber and all Sewickley Township. We assits 3 other Sewickley Township companies, which are herminie (station 15), Rilton (station 14), and Hutchinson (station 85). We also assist Sutersville boro (station 11) We currently have two apparatus a 1997 E-One Engine and a 1992 E-One mini-pumper which is our Brush. Engine 16 is our main apparatus, it runs all structure fires, automatic fire alarms, bomb threats and landing zones. Our Engine seats 5 people. Brush 16 runs all vehicle accidents, ambulance assist, tree downs, and for extra manpower if needed. Our Brush seats 3 people. As of today we currently have 10 active firefighters including juniors. we are always looking better to improve ourselves by having new members join. We also train every tuesday, usually with Hutchinson VFC or at our station.
